I switched from Google Workspace to Lark 3 days ago.
Honestly, it wasn't that complicated — at least speaking as someone who does tech for a living. Migrating Google Drive, Calendar, and Email is manageable.
The real problem hit when I tried logging into Miro, Canva, and Claude.
I couldn't. Because everything was tied to Google login.
It's the same lock-in Apple users know well — the ecosystem convenience that quietly becomes a switching cost. Google does it just as well. Kudos to them for that.
It's by no means a deal breaker but I feel it's also something worth considering when switching your company operating system, especially if you have 100s or 1000s of staffs in the company.
